Dr. Jesse Lewin is the Co-Director of the Translational and Precision Medicine Resources Core (TRAP) core and responsible for the development of protocols in clinical trials, compliance with regulatory requirements, and direct patient contact, including examining and following study subjects at Columbia. He, in conjunction with the rest of the core leadership, provides ready access to expert dermatologic input for study planning and design and expertise in harvesting of tissue samples. Dr. Lewin is a fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic and Dermatologic surgeon in the Department of Dermatology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center and serves as the Director of Dermatologic Surgery Education. He teaches dermatologic surgery to the dermatology residents, and the micrographic surgery and dermatologic oncology fellow. He has a special interest in the treatment of high-risk cutaneous malignancies and skin cancer in organ transplant recipients.
